Reflection of Joshua Iosefo

    Joshua losefo reflect himself by speaking speech about brown, about him, his family, his fellow. and all the brown people.He talks about stereotype and racist probably and encourage all the brown poeple not to be self-abased, regret about the blood in your bone and the color of skin.
    It's important to let us hear because that encourage us, encourage all his fellow and brown that not to be fear of being alone, being the first or be the change.  He reflects that he's brown like table, like mud, but he seems proud of it and never regret that he is brown. Instead, he can watch his family eat and watch his people play rugby. He wants  to make different. Change the mindset of brown brothers.
What I can do the same is to be really confident and not be afraid of saying, doing stuff.    Image result for brown brother

  2/29/17 Wednesday
    Today, Joshua Iosefo came to HPSS and encourage us. He told us about his stories and what he had already done or achieve, also a few stories about his family. The whole point of his speech is fear and change. Everyone fears at some things. That is a normal human emotion, but what make us different is how we overwhelmed, overcome the fear and solve problem.  Almost all his family had those situations which are fear about something at first and then face the problem, and overcome the fear. He list some example by using his family members own experience. His grandfather came to NZ alone and doesn't know how to speak English. His grandmother had a car accident and had memory lost, but still finish some sort of test. And himself. Started on eating lunch at the toilet to traveling and become the coolest guy in his school.
  There also are three things that he thinks is important for a young person. Passion, purpose and power. he told us why those are importan and some conclusion. And finally the end of the speech.

Learning object:To focus by selecting and curating evidence.
  • My goasl is how might I be more receptive and contributive for the team.
  • Bascally accept other people's suggestion and feed back willingly and to do some work for the team.
  • I think it is important to focus on because first being not receptive is rude to others and also I can't really advanced my work I think. And being contributive just for not making me feel that embrassed. Just imagine you stay in a group and everyone else are chatting about the work we are gonna do and I just sitting beside doing nothing.

 How might I be more receptive and contributive in my classes.

How do you know this should be a goal?
 Because sometime my mom gave me some suggestion or feedback I probably will just come up with other better ideas and abandon her suggestion or keep doing what I am doing not listening her suggestion. And the thing is I asked her for some suggestion……
 And also sometimes when we doing some teamwork I usually just sitting beside them and doing nothing. Most of time is because I don’t know what I am doing not because I don’t know how to do .though...

Why is this an important goal for you?
 First of all if I am being receptive I can get more suggestion and do things better? And plus it is a bit rude to not be receptive.
 Secondly being more contributive don’t put me into a awkward situation which is doing nothing sit beside people and wait for people ask me do I have problem of speaking…..Plus I think if I am being more contributive I can adapt to a team and good at doing team work.

What might happen if you do not change or work on this goal?
 Well first if I am not being receptive it will be a bit rude and maybe do things worse because I don’t accept some suggestion.
 And if I am not contributive then I probably won’t fit into a team. And if I always working by myself if I am doing any big project it is gonna take me ages.

Give specific examples of the things that you are doing that is stopping you from achieving your goal.
 Not listening or not paying much attention when teacher is reading instruction? So I don’t know what I am doing in the team?(Most of time I did pay attention it’s just I don’t understand what they are talking about lol)
 I think about receptive I shouldn’t be arrogant or what ever. Be modest so I can accept people's ideas.

Are you constantly blaming / making excuses? Who / what are you constantly blaming?
 I am not usually blaming people. Sometime probably blaming people in mind. Sometime when we doing teamwork. Someone is doing the most of the work and did a terrible job then I will blaming him/her in mind...

3/10/2017 T1 Have no idea what the title should be

  Well...So I think I basically need to em...use the learning over first 6 weeks to reflect our strength, weakness,goals and our learning style. Em...I am actually a bit confusing about everything I do in the past first 6 weeks so em...don't actually know how to write this.
    Anyway skip the crap. First of all my strength. Well talk about strength I think I am probably really confident about  maths. Compare to others or the average of nz kids maths grade I think I am probably a bit better than they? (Well don't want to sound really offensive or anything but those guy probably won't see this blog hahahaha)and probably good at technology. Then is about my thinking.  I usually being creative and organizing which are the yellow and green part of herrmann brain..Actually perhaps I cover all the area on herrmann brain. Sometime I am being creative sometime being logical e.t.c  It is depending on my mood:) I think I am doing alright about being kind I think that is my em...personal excellence.

  Well I think my academy weakness is Mario which is language. I suck at learning language and that also including I suck at English. I don't really think I am good at PE if comparing to other students. And about my personal excellence I think I should being receptive. And accept other people's suggestion. Well I mean I am being reception sometime but sometime I am not. I'm just not listening or not focusing. It is kind of rude so em...I need to change that.
    My academy goals is improve English and probably focus on technology and computer probably?
And I talked about my personal excellence weakness which is not being receptive. So I think my goals is gonna be receptive???
    And finally my learning style. I don't really know what's my learning style. I am just em...learning like other. Focusing what I am doing but trying to do it really relaxing??? But I want to organize everything first and learning step by step? I don't know is that mean my learning style or not. I probably understand learning style wrong.
